The minivan is an icon.  Suburban families, in particular, benefit from the affordability of minivans but ultimately depend upon its safety and comfort features.  By destroying one comfort icon by way of an event and then presenting the performance in a mock living room setting, I aim to begin a conversation upon American fascination with the spectacle of death and fatal accidents when the viewer is comfortably detached.
